Three Times Rebel is an exploration of the frustrating structures at the origin of gender inequality, exclusion and (symbolic) violence today. Through an in-depth research based on literature, documentaries, expositions and interviews with experts, Marina stumbled upon a crude nature of inequality. One that is reflected in the degradation of the female body, the use of stereotypes to educate the young ones, or the symbolic violence that is increasingly part of our lives, often unconsciously.
In Three Times Rebel Marina dives into the structure that houses today’s prejudices, stereotypes, discrimination, symbolic violence, heritage and construction of gender. To her it is a necessity in unmasking the normalization of inequality. With five powerful performers, live music by Yamila Rios (voice, cello, electronics) and a simple geometric mobile structure in a “naked” space, Marina is set to deconstruct herself as well as our perception of inequality in today’s society.
